Collection containing photographic prints recording the construction, delivery and running of electric locomotives built by The English Electric Co Ltd for railway companies in Britain, New Zealand and South Africa during the 1950s and 1960s. The material includes some images of engineers. The collection also contains an incomplete series of later photocopies of general arrangement drawings (elevations only) of early Vulcan Foundry Ltd locomotives from 1845-1862.
